Rave unde/Rava laddu

Rave Unde:

                         


Ingredients:

      
  • Sooji/ Rava       1 Cup 
  • Sugar                1.5 Cup ( optional Coarsely powdered )
  • Ghee                 1/2 Cup 
  • Cashew and Raisins  
  • Cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • Cloves   4-5

Method:

  1. Heat about 1.4 cup of ghee in a Kadai. Add  cashews and Raisins. fry till golden, remove from heat and set it aside to cool.
  2. Heat the remaining Ghee and add Rava, roast it on low flame till the sooji is fragrant. Keep frying the Rava and make sure not to burn it. Remove from heat. Sprinkle a few tbsps of hot water/milk on the rava and mix well. keep it for a few minutes.
  3. While the Rava is still warm, add  sugar,cardamom powder, cloves , dry fruits and the ghee to it. Check for the sweetness. If you need it sweeter go ahead and add more sugar. 
  4. Divide it into equal parts and give them a shape of ball (laddu) with your palms.
  5.  Rava laddus are ready.Store in an airtight jar...
