Hagalakai tava fry/ shallow fry
Ingredients:
- 2 - Bittergourd / hagalakai ( cut into long slices)
- 2 tsp - Rava (sooji rava/bombay rava)
- 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp - Red chilly pwd
- 2 tsp - Oil
- Salt to taste
Method:
- In a bowl, take bitter gourd slice,add salt, red chilly powder, turmeric.
- Mix well.. and set aside atleast for 1/2 n hour ..or
- Refrigerate for 30min .
- Then take bitter gourd slice and roll it in the rava.
- Heat tava , add 1 tbsp oil, when hot, place the bitter gourd one by one and then add reamaining oil on the bitter gourd slices .
- Fry both sides evenly until it is golden brown on medium heat .
