Hagalakayi tava fry:Bitter gourd fry

Hagalakai tava fry/ shallow fry






Ingredients:
  • 2            -   Bittergourd / hagalakai        ( cut into long slices)              
  • 2 tsp      -    Rava (sooji rava/bombay rava)                                            
  • 1/2 tsp      -  Turmeric powder                              
  • 1 tsp      -    Red chilly pwd                                 
  • 2 tsp      -   Oil                                                   
  • Salt to taste                                         

Method:
  • In a bowl, take bitter gourd slice,add salt, red chilly powder, turmeric.
  • Mix well.. and set aside atleast for 1/2 n hour ..or
  • Refrigerate for 30min   .  
                     


  • Then take bitter gourd slice and  roll it in the rava.
  • Heat  tava , add 1 tbsp oil, when hot, place the bitter gourd  one by one and  then add reamaining oil on the bitter gourd slices  .
  • Fry both sides evenly until it is golden brown on medium heat .
