Masala akki roti: Thalipeeth (karanata style)

Thalipeeth (karanata style):

     








Ingredients



  • Rice flour                                   - 1 cup
  • onion                                         - 1 finely chopped
  • sabbasige soppu(dil leaves)          -1/4 cup finely chopped
  • carrot                                         -1 grated
  • green chilies                               -2 finely chopped      
  • coriander leaves  ,curry             - 2 tsp  finely chopped
  •  cumin/ jeera                              -1 tsp  
  • Salt as needed
  • water as needed
  • oil as needed

optional
  •  chana dal soaked  - 1tsp 
  •  ginger grated        -1/2sp
  • Turmeric(optional)  -1/2sp

Method:

  • Add 1 cup flour to a bowl along with other ingredients. Mix everything well.
  • Add water little by little and make a soft dough. Divide the dough into small portions.
  • Take a plastic sheet and grease with oil.take a small portion of dough ,pressing gently on plastic sheet .make a thalipeeth in round shape..
  • Heat tawa  and add 1sp oil  and gently remove the thalipeeth from the plastic transfer into the tawa.
  • cook on both sides adding oil as required..
  • Serve it hot with coconut chutney.
