Gobi Rice:
Ingredients:
- Basmati rice/regular - 2 cups (cooked)
- Peas-1/4 cup(boiled)
- Cauliflower- ½ (chopped)
- Onion- 1 nos (chopped)
- Green chillies- 2 nos (chopped)
- Cumin seeds- ½ tbsp
- Red chilli powder- ½ tbsp
- Turmeric powder- ½ tbsp
- Cinnamon- 2 nos
- Cloves- 2
- Salt- to taste
- Oil
Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan, and add cumin seeds, cinnamon and cloves. Wait till the cumin seeds splutter and till the onions turn golden brown.
2. Now, add green chillies and onions. Saute it well.
3. Then, add peas, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt. Stir it well.
4. Add the cauliflower to the pan and stir it well with spices. Cook this in medium flame for 10 minutes.
5. Stir it continuously till gobi becomes golden brown.
6. Now, add cooked rice and mix it well. Now, add coriander leaves and mix it well. You can cook it for 5-6 minutes and turn off the flame after that. Your gobi rice is ready. The recipe for gobi fried rice is simple.
Tips:
- If you desire, you can add more spices to your gobi rice.
- You can add green peas to this dish. It enhances the taste of the gobi rice.
