MALPUA:



Malpua/Pancake:
              Malpua is a pancake served as a dessert or a snack, popular in India  .
                
              


Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup all purpose flour
  • 5 tsp semolina
  • 1tsp rice flour(optional)
  • 2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 cup milk
  • Oil for deep frying 
  • 2 cup sugar syrup
  • For Garnish
  • Fennel seeds
  • Sugar syrup
  • Saffron(optional)

Method :

  • Mix all purpose flour, semolina, fennel seeds and milk in a bowl to prepare a batter,without lumps.
    


  • Heat oil in a pan with medium heat.
  • Gently pour a ladle full of batter, taking care that it does not separate in oil.


 



  • Fry on a medium flame till brown on both sides.
  • Transfer on a plate to cool a bit.
  • Soak the malpuas in sugar syrup for 5 mins.
  • Transfer malpuas on serving plate .
  • Garnish the prepared malpua with fennel seeds, sugar powder and saffron.
  •  Malpua is ready to serve.
