Mysore bonda:
Mysore Bajji/bonda Recipe is a popular fried snack from traditional Mysore cuisine.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Yogurt/curd
- 1 cup Refined flour/maida
- 1/4 cup Rice flour
- Salt as per taste
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp Coconut cut into thin strips
- 3-4 chopped Green chillies
- Oil for deep fry
Method
- In a bowl mix together yogurt and one cup water and set aside.
- In another bowl add maida, rice flour, salt and soda and mix well. Add the yogurt and mix it to form a batter consistency.
- Add cumin seeds, coconut pieces and green chillies and mix well. Rest it for an hour.
- Heat sufficient oil in a pan .
- Make small bondas and deep fry the bondas on low flame till golden brown in color.
- Serve with coconut chutney.
