Mysore bonda:

   
         Mysore Bajji/bonda  Recipe is a  popular fried snack from traditional Mysore cuisine.        



Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Yogurt/curd
  • 1 cup Refined flour/maida
  • 1/4 cup Rice flour
  • Salt as per taste 
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda 
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds 
  • 1 tbsp Coconut cut into thin strips
  • 3-4 chopped Green chillies 
  • Oil for deep fry

Method

    • In a bowl mix together yogurt and one cup water and set aside.
    • In another bowl add maida, rice flour, salt and soda and mix well. Add the yogurt and mix it to form a batter consistency.
    • Add cumin seeds, coconut pieces and green chillies and mix well. Rest it for an hour.
    • Heat sufficient oil in a pan . 
    • Make small bondas and deep fry the bondas on low flame till golden brown in color.



    • Serve with coconut chutney.
