Banana chips


Banana chips:
                

            These banana chips fried in coconut oil are perfect to snack they are best stored in an air tight container and can last for days.


  
           


Ingredients:

  • 4  medium raw bananas
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • oil for deep frying ( coconut oil optional)
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  • Cut the banana into thin slices , Put the slices of banana into a solution of water, salt and turmeric and let set for 5 minutes.
  • Give it a good mix and transfer to a colander to drain completely or .dry them with clean kitchen towels or napkins.
  • Heat oil for deep frying in a kadai 
  • when the oil is medium hot, add the slices in small batches and fry on medium heat.
  • Fry until golden in color and transfer onto a paper napkin.
  • Repeat with the rest of the slices.
  • Sprinkle with salt and chilli powder and let it cool.
  • Store in an air-tight container for up to a week.
