Besan chakali:
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 Cup - Besan/Chickpeas Flour
- 2 tbsp - Oil
- 1/2 tsp - Fresh Peppercorn Powder/red chilly powder
- 1/4 tsp - Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tsp - Carom Seeds/Ajwain
- 1/2 tsp - Cumin Seeds/Jeera
- Salt as per taste
- water
- For Deep Frying - Oil
METHOD:
- Add besan in bowl and add all the ingredients 2 tbsp oil, salt, ajwain seeds, cumin seeds, peppercorn powder/red chilly and turmeric powder.
- Miix everything together well.
- Add Warm water and start kneading dough.make a soft dough by adding normal water little by little. knead the dough till very soft and smooth.
- Take a small portion of dough and fill in the chakli press.
- Grease a ladle with little oil. Press the chakli maker on the greased ladle. Slightly rotate the chakli maker round and round until it forms a spiral shaped chakli.
- Heat oil for deep frying.. add chaklis to ie and fry them on a medium flame..
- Remove and place them on a tissue paper. Let them cool completely and store in airtight container..
